MORE Laundry!

Man, we had a LOT of laundry this weekend.

It felt daunting.

It wasn't until I was over halfway through that I consciously remembered our ongoing conversation about gratitude with chores, specifically laundry!  I reflected on the many bins of laundry already completed: they had been sorted, washed, separated, hung dried or dried, folded, and finally put away.

Admittedly, I might have been grumpy and resistant to laundry a time or two in the past,

but I realized this time my subconscious attitude toward the laundry was lighter.

Here's what happened...

Through sharing and dialoguing with you, I had already made the mental shift to be grateful for the ability to even have these chores - specifically laundry.  So when it came time to perform the act of doing the laundry, my subconscious brain had made peace and gratitude with laundry.

Although I wasn't actively gracious and thanking each shirt, pants, sweatshirt, sheet, napkin, towel, rag, or dog towel, I was "ok" having all this laundry to do.  As I finish up the last two loads tonight, I look forward to thanking the sheets and rags yet to be folded.

What does this mean to you?

Gratitude is a state of being.

It's a perspective or lens we evaluate life through.  When we are able to shift into a state of gratitude, only then are we able to release the grumpy, grouchy, resistant attitude we bring toward chores, work, responsibilities, and even self-care.  Creating a state of gratitude starts by just being thankful for small things in your life and doing it consistently.

Today, find 5 things to be grateful for.

Believe it or not, gratitude is extremely good for your health!  And you deserve to be healthy.  Express Gratitude today.  Your mind and soul will be lighter.
